Here is Miss Autumn’s sneak peek from our session tonight! She was such a little trooper. Believe it or not, it was drizzling when these were taken! There was hardly any light to speak of, but we made it work. The session unfortunately only lasted 10 minutes because it started raining a lot harder. Not much variety, but HOW CUTE IS SHE?!?! She is seriously a little model. She kept turning her head towards the camera and smiling. =) Rosy cheeks were from the 100-degree heat. Talk about blistering!

I wanted to make something personal and fun for FD this year for my husband. He’s such a great guy, and an incredibly dedicated father. My little girl rarely sits still for pictures and I know her limits. If she’s going to sit there, she’s going to want to do something silly. So I pulled out the stickers and we had a fun 10 minutes getting these shots. I know it’s technically out the window with the blown highlights and dark shadows, but I went into this knowing I wanted high contrast. =) Plus, I’m way more relaxed and not so uptight with personal projects! LOL.

Anyway, I hope all of the great fathers out there had a wonderful day!!

Photo shoot tomorrow evening with little Miss Autumn. Excited for this revisit; she’s such a cute little ham! =)

Happy Friday, everyone! This week absolutely flew by, thanks to Memorial Day on Monday! I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and took time to pay homage to the reason behind the holiday. I cooked up this week’s Friday Freebie on Tuesday when boredom struck. I wanted to do something a little different with more options. Two collages this time, but I mixed it up a bit. Check out the two preview images I put together with this week’s FF. The first one has images from a session I did last summer with a FUNFUNFUN couple! The second is the bonus freebie w/ pictures of the my little one munching on our first-bought watermelon of the season. The borders are optional here – I provided a little tutorial in the “readme” document in the download. You can customize that part to your liking.

*UPDATE* These templates have been tested in earlier versions of Adobe Photoshop and Elements and they open and are usable. Have fun!

(pretty similar to last week’s, hence the bonus-ness)

Stop the presses – I remembered to post the Friday Freebie! LOL! It’s been a couple of weeks, but life and a total lack of inspiration have a way of making things difficult, huh?

Anyway this week I decided to change it up a bit. I’m going to do some new texture packs soon, but that involves me getting out and actually taking some pictures. Like I said, lack of inspiration. Also, these templates are for Adobe Photoshop CS2 or above. You will need general knowledge of Photoshop in order to do these. If you have any trouble or questions, let me know! The instructions in the package are pretty straight-forward without a LOT of instruction, so it might be confusing for some.

So there are 2 blog templates this week. Here are a couple of examples using pictures I took while portfolio building last year:

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! Don’t forget to take some time out to remember those who lost their lives fighting for our freedom and country!

Session this Saturday with the contest winner and her family! I’m so excited! =)

One of the things I miss most in my life is doing more “artsy” photography with nature and just random objects. Since becoming a mom, obviously my creative time is more constricted to a few hours a day. I usually spend those sleeping, haha. These are all shots taken years ago when I was really big into non-people photography! =)I ran across these files when cleaning up folders on my hard drive. The next set was taken with an “advanced” digital point and shoot back in like… 2002? 2003? I did the best I could with what I had.

Happy Friday, everyone! Mothers Day is right around the corner and we’re gearing up for a busy weekend! I’m going to attempt to get some family shots of my own little family this weekend. Now that my daughter’s a bit older, I’m hoping it will go a lot more smoothly. We’ll see!

This week I made another web-sized collage. I’m brainstorming some ideas for the future Friday Freebies… maybe I’ll switch it up a bit!

Here’s a quick preview of this week’s freebie. I took these photos of the twin boys last year. Aren’t they cute?!
